The Current De Groote Lucht Wastewater Treatment Plant (Awzi) In Delfland Is Reaching The End Of Its Lifespan. The United Meeting Of September 29, 2022 Decided To Realize A New Water Treatment Plant On The Site Of Vergulde Hand West, Opposite The Current Wwtp. The Scope Of The Assignment Includes The Integral Design And Realization Of A Completely New Water Purification System, Consisting Of The Water Line (Pre-Treatment, Main Purification And Post-Treatment), The Sludge Line (Sludge Treatment, Dewatering And Fermentation), The Gas Line (Reprocessing Of Biogas Into Green Gas), Housing And Other Components Such As The Site Layout. The Disciplines Associated With These Main Components Include Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering And Electrical Engineering/Process Automation. The Modified University Of Cape Town (Muct) With Membrane Bioreactors For Sludge Separation Was Chosen As The Purification Technique. The New Water Treatment Plant Is Designed With A Biological Capacity Of 450,000 Pollution Units, With A Hydraulic Capacity Of 16,500 M³/H And A Design Life Of 30 Years.
