In Fact, The Weekly Reduction In The Number Of Ship Rotations Has A Strong Impact On Shipping Conditions, Including, In Certain Circumstances, A Blockage Of Empty Skips Departing From The Continents Main Ports. Situation Which Endangers The Sludge Treatment Process At The Local Level And Consequently The Continued Operation Of The Purification Station. Due To This Recent Development, The Logistical Constraints Surrounding The Transport Of Skips To Continental Composting Platforms Have Become Difficult To Manage And Call For A Search For Alternatives Capable Of Guaranteeing The Sustainability And Efficiency Of The Sludge Sector. Consequently, In Order To Be Able To Have A Complementary Sector Making It Possible To Respond To The Operating Constraints Of The Public Service, To Limit The Logistical Difficulties Linked To The Transport Of Sludge, In Particular The Constraints Linked To The Handling Of Skips, And To Control The Operating Costs Relating To Transport By Sea, The Régie Has Initiated This Consultation. The Continuity Of The Public Collective Sanitation Service Requires The Authority To Guarantee Permanent Availability Of The Skips Necessary For The Daily Evacuation Of Sludge Produced By The Bastia South Treatment Plant. To This End, The Services Covered By This Contract Must Enable Complete Rotations Of The Skips To Be Carried Out Within A Maximum Period Of 12 Hours From Their Collection At The Bastia Sud Depollution Site.
