The Subject Of The Departmental Research Project Is The Cross-Location Collection, Digitization And Initial Scientific Evaluation Of Relevant Archive Holdings For State-Funded Building Research In Germany Since 1927. The Holdings Stored At Several Locations In Bonn, Hanover, Stuttgart And Kiel Are Systematically Recorded, Brought Together In A Consolidated Overall Directory And Checked For Overlaps, Duplicates And Gaps. On This Basis, Documents That Are Not Yet Available Digitally Are Scanned, Identified Using Text Recognition And Made Available In A Checked Manner. The Documents Are Linked With Uniform Metadata And Stored In A Permanent Digital Structure. Persistent Referencing Of The Digitized Research Work Is Also Planned So That The Inventory Remains Citable And Scientifically Usable In The Long Term. At The Same Time, An Initial Scientific Evaluation Will Be Carried Out In The Form Of A Rough Chronicle Of The Last 100 Years Of Building Research Funding. Part Of This Evaluation Is A Timeline Of The Funding History, Which Should Be Prepared For Public Display. The Technical Development Will Be Accompanied From A Building-Historical Point Of View Throughout The Entire Term. This Includes The Development Of A Classification System, The Assignment Of Keywords And The Assignment Of Documents To Programs, Time References, Institutions And, If Possible, To Specific Projects. The Aim Is To Provide A Reliable Indexing Basis For Further Scientific Evaluations And For The Long-Term Use Of The Collection In Science And Practice.
