With The Natural Climate Protection (Ank) Action Program Adopted On March 29, 2023, The Federal Government Is Pursuing The Goal Of Significantly Improving The General Condition Of The Ecosystems In Germany And Strengthening Their Climate Protection Performance. This Is Intended To Make A Lasting Contribution To Climate Protection And To Achieving The National Climate Protection Goals In The Land Use Sector (Lulucf). The Ank Uses And Creates Synergies Between Climate Protection And Biodiversity Conservation. Improving Ecosystem Services Can Not Only Contribute To Climate Protection And Strengthen Biodiversity Conservation, But Other Synergy Effects Can Also Be Achieved, Particularly In The Areas Of Climate Adaptation And Flood Protection.
