Expression of Interest for Consulting Services for the Development of Local Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (Lbsap) for the 3 States: Galmudug, Hirshabelle and Southwest for Adaptive Agriculture and Rangeland Rehabilitation (a2r2) Project The A2R2 Project operates in seven high-priority districts Belet Weyne, Baydhaba, Dhuusamarreeb, Galkacyo, Cabudwaaq, Kismayo, and Bardere representing the diverse agro-ecological zones of Somalias Federal Member States (FMS). The project seeks to directly benefit approximately 72,000 households through investments in water harvesting, rangeland restoration, and climate-smart agriculture, while simultaneously improving the enabling institutional environment at Federal and FMS levels. 2. Specific Objectives of the Assignment To strengthen environmental governance and community resilience by developing comprehensive awareness materials and evidence-based biodiversity strategies for selected Federal Member States in Somalia. Assess the status of biodiversity, ecosystems, and ecosystem services in each state. Identify key threats, drivers, and opportunities for conservation. Define strategic priorities, objectives, and measurable targets. 2 Develop an actionable and costed biodiversity action plan. Establish a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework.
