Tenders are invited for Improvements of Existing Athletic Play Ground at Central College - Maharagama Work mainly comprises Site Preparation, Earth Work, Turf works in 200m Track, Plumbing and Drainage Works in existing Athletic Play Ground. The works are to be completed within 270 Days. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding Procedure. To be eligible for contract award, the successful bidder shall not have been blacklisted and shall meet the following requirements: 3(a) Contractors having valid registration in Grade C5, C4 & C3 in the field of Highway Construction under the Institute for Construction Training and Development. 3(b) The contractor should have successfully completed at least one project (01) of Construction of 200m standard athletic track playground project including all event facilities during the last 10 years. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the Director (Procurement), Department of Sports Development, No:09, Philip Gunawardhana Mawatha, Colombo-07 from 2026/06/26 until 2026/07/17 from 09.00 hrs to 15.00 hrs (on Working Days) upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 17,000.00. The method of payment will be by cash only. Bids shall be delivered to the address below, on or before 2026/07/20 at 14.00 hrs. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened soon after closing in the presence of the Bidders or Bidders representatives who choose to attend. Bid validity shall be 91 days from the date of closing of Bids. All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid security of Rupees One Million Two Hundred Thousand Only (Rs. 1,200,000.00), drawn in favor of Director General, Department of Sports Development from a commercial bank recognized by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
