Tenders are invited for Procurement of Trainer Fees - Reusable Menstrual Pads Production Training. Closing Date: Thursday, 02. Jul 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Labor & Livelihoods Remuneration range: 1000 to 2000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 3 Months Akkarouna, a women-led, non-governmental organization, operating within North and Akkar governorates in Lebanon, aims and commits to achieve socio-economic growth through the empowerment of women, children, and youth by building their capacities, enhancing community networks, and implementing development projects, ensuring gender mainstreaming and spreading awareness on different key topics. Over the past years, Akkarouna has operated its programs following 6 main pillars: Protection, Social Stability, Governance, Health, Education and Livelihood. These sectors are complemented by the Emergency Response Unit responsible for preparing and responding to any emergency within Lebanon. This assignment is implemented by Akkarouna in partnership with Plan International Lebanon, under a project funded by the Agence Française de Dévelopement (AFD), as part of a livelihood and womens empowerment intervention. The activity aims to strengthen the practical and technical skills of women participants who have already completed a 60-hour vocational training on sewing. The reusable menstrual pads production training is designed to build on participants existing sewing skills and support them to produce reusable menstrual pads that meet basic hygiene, usability, and quality standards. The training will combine theoretical knowledge on menstrual hygiene with practical production sessions, focusing on design, cutting, stitching, layering, finishing, quality control, and safe handling of materials. The activity will target 45 women participants in Akkar. Participants will be divided into three groups of approximately 12 to 15 women per group, ensuring a maximum of two participants per sewing machine. The training should provide women with practical skills that can contribute to livelihood opportunities, small-scale production, and the promotion of sustainable menstrual hygiene solutions. To support the implementation of this activity, Akkarouna seeks to recruit a qualified trainer/service provider to design and deliver a Reusable Menstrual Pads Production Training.
