Asala aims to provide Palestinian women with the necessary skills and opportunities to successfully contribute to advancing their society based on equal rights and access to resources and markets. Asala provides comprehensive and needs-based services to women entrepreneurs in the West Bank and Gaza Strip along three strategic tracks, namely: Advocacy and lobbying for womens economic and social rights Capacity building for women entrepreneurs Facilitating access to local, regional, and global markets for women entrepreneurs. As part of its ongoing efforts to advance its mission and vision, the Palestinian Businesswomens Association (Asala) and under the Economic Resilience Programme (MASARAT) funded by the United Nations Development Programme UNDP, seeks to strengthen the resilience and competitiveness of women-led enterprises by addressing a key challenge facing women entrepreneurs, including setting accurate, competitive, and sustainable prices for their products and services. Recent assessments conducted by Asala indicate that women entrepreneurs are increasingly facing difficulties in pricing their products due to fluctuating raw material prices, rising production costs, limited access to reliable and up-to-date market information, and declining purchasing power. These challenges have negatively impacted profitability, weakened market competitiveness, and, in some cases, increased the risk of business instability or closure among women-led enterprises. To respond to these challenges, Asala intends to develop a simple, user-friendly digital pricing and costing application that enables women entrepreneurs to accurately calculate production costs, determine appropriate profit margins, and access updated market information. This will include real-time or regularly updated data on raw material prices in the Palestinian market, supplier options, and relevant market trends. The intervention will also provide practical orientation workshops and user support materials to ensure effective demand, sustained use, and long-term impact of the application. The objective: The main objective of this assignment is to design and develop an integrated digital application that empowers women entrepreneurs to strengthen and grow their businesses through data-driven insights and AI-enabled tools The digital application aims to accelerate the digital transformation of women-led enterprises supported by Asala by providing a centralized and intelligent system for data management, analysis, and informed decision-making. It will also enhance access to up-to-date market information, trends, and business opportunities, while supporting more effective communication, marketing, and outreach activities In addition, the tool will enable Asala to strengthen evidence-based planning, monitoring, and performance tracking. By leveraging artificial intelligence and advanced data analytics, the system will improve operational efficiency and contribute to the sustainability, competitiveness, and growth of women-led enterprises. Methodology and Scope of Work The consultant/firm will be responsible for designing the application architecture, including data structures, AI components, and system integration mechanisms. The application will be developed in iterative phases, covering backend development, user interface design, AI-enabled modules, dashboards, and automation features. Throughout the development process, continuous testing and quality assurance will be conducted to ensure functionality, usability, performance, and system stability. A pilot phase will be implemented with a selected group of users to gather feedback, validate system functionality, and identify areas for improvement. Following the pilot phase, the system will be refined, optimized, and finalized for full deployment. The assignment will also include user onboarding, training and orientation sessions, and the development of clear, user-friendly documentation to ensure effective adoption and long-term sustainability of the application. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: · System design and technical architecture development. · Development of AI-based data aggregation and analytics tools. · Integration of raw material pricing data and market intelligence into the system. · Creation of user dashboards and administrative interfaces. · Implementation of automation and workflow integration features. · Development of marketing and campaign management functionalities. · Ensuring data security, privacy, and system scalability. · System testing, deployment, and post-launch technical support. · Preparation of user manuals and technical documentation. · Delivery of orientation, training and capacity-building sessions for users and administrators. Deliverables: The consultant/firm will be responsible for delivering the following outputs: · Inception report outlining the methodology, technical approach, and detailed implementation work plan. · System design and technical architecture documents, including data models, system workflows, and AI components. · Fully functional and responsive digital platform (web-based and/or mobile-compatible). · AI-enabled data aggregation and analytics modules integrated within the application. · Automation and workflow management functionalities to support system efficiency. · User and administrative dashboards with reporting and data visualization capabilities. · Pilot testing report, including user feedback, findings, and recommended improvements. · Final refined and fully tested version of the application ready for dissemination. · User manuals and technical documentation in both Arabic and English. · Orientation and training sessions for Asala staff and women entrepreneurs to ensure effective use of the platform. · Completion report, including key achievements, lessons learned, and sustainability recommendations. Duration and time frame: The assignment will be implemented over a period of two months, from July to September 2026. The implementation timeline will cover all key phases of the project, including inception and requirements gathering, system design and architecture development, application development, testing and quality assurance, pilot testing with selected users, and final dissemination. Requirements: Applicants are required to submit a comprehensive technical and financial proposal that clearly demonstrates their understanding of the assignment and their ability to successfully deliver the required services.
