Project Proposal Improving The Conservation Status Of The Brown Bear (Ursus Arctos) In The Central Balkan National Park Through Preventive Measures To Reduce Human-Predator Conflict Aims To Improve The Conservation Status Of The Target Species By Implementing Preventive Measures, The Main Focus Of Which Is Aimed At Preventing The Occurrence Of Conflict Between Humans And The Brown Bear. The Activities, Part Of The Project Proposal, Will Be Carried Out On The Territory Of The National Park Central Balkan - A Protected Area In The Sense Of The Law On Protected Areas, As Well As A Protected Area In The Sense Of The Law On Biological Diversity - Bg0000494 Central Balkan For The Protection Of Wild Birds, Announced By Order No. Rd-559/05.09.2008 Of The Minister Of The Environment And Waters (Dj No. 84/26.09.2008) And Order No. Rd-260/31.03.2021 Of The Minister Of Environment And Water (Sg No. 41/18.05.2021) And Bg0000494 Central Balkan For The Protection Of Natural Habitats And Wild Flora And Fauna, Included In The List Of Protected Areas, Adopted By Decision No. 122/02.03.2007 Of The Ministry Of Justice (Sg No. 21/09.03.2007). As Part Of The Project, Electropastoral Kits, Photo Traps, Binoculars, Thermal Monoculars And A Gps Collar Will Be Supplied. The Main Activities Will Be The Placement And Maintenance Of Electric Herders In Places Associated With Potential Or Established Over The Years Brown Bear Damage To Domestic Animals. In Parallel, Specimen Immobilization Teams Will Respond To A Problem Bear Alert, Carry Out Site Visits, Photo Traps, Monitoring, Animal Behavior Analysis And Take Action To Drive Away If Necessary, Capture And Gps Collar To Track And Build An Effective Response Mechanism For A Problem Specimen. The Implementation Of The Project Includes The Main Activities And The Overall Preparation Of The Project Proposal, Activities Related To The Organization And Management Of The Project, Implementation Of The Mandatory Measures To Ensure Visibility, Transparency And Communication.
