Jun 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Infrastructure & Services Rehabilitation Background René Moawad Foundation (RMF) is seeking to recruit a qualified Civil Engineer / Site Engineer to support the implementation of a Cash for Work (CfW) project in North Lebanon. The selected candidate will contribute to the technical planning, supervision, follow-up, and quality control of light rehabilitation and community-based infrastructure works implemented under the project. Main Duties and Responsibilities Support the planning, implementation, and technical follow-up of Cash for Work light rehabilitation and infrastructure activities in the targeted areas. Conduct site visits, technical assessments, measurements, and verification of project sites before, during, and after implementation. Prepare and/or review technical documents including drawings, scope of works, bills of quantities (BoQs), cost estimates, and related technical forms whenever needed. Supervise field implementation and ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the approved technical specifications, timeline, safety standards, and quality requirements. Coordinate closely with project staff, municipalities, local stakeholders, contractors/suppliers where applicable, and Cash for Work teams to ensure smooth implementation of activities. Monitor daily progress of works and identify any technical or operational challenges, while proposing practical solutions in a timely manner. Ensure proper documentation of technical activities, including site reports, progress updates, photo documentation, measurements, and completion records. Support verification of completed works and certify that outputs are implemented according to agreed standards and quantities. Contribute to the preparation of internal technical updates, reports, and any other project-related documentation required by RMF. Ensure compliance with RMF procedures, donor requirements, health and safety measures, and accountability standards throughout implementation. Required Qualifications and Experience Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field. Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in engineering, site supervision, rehabilitation, construction, or infrastructure-related projects. Previous proven experience in Cash for Work projects is mandatory. Experience in humanitarian, development, NGO, or donor-funded projects is considered a strong asset. Good knowledge of technical documentation, BoQ preparation, quantity surveying, and site supervision. Strong coordination, communication, and reporting skills. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and frequently travel to field locations. Good command of Arabic and English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or other relevant engineering software is an asset. Duty Station The engineer will be based in North Lebanon, with frequent field visits to the targeted project locations as needed.
