Bids Are Invited For General Trail Maintenance - Rocky Mountain House District

The Scope Of This Rfp Covers General Maintenance Of Trails, And Work In Our Rustic Camping Areas, All Of Which Are Located Within The Rocky Mountain House District Area Of Operation. The Rocky Mountain House District Is A Large Landbase That Spans From The Dormer Sheep Pluz In The South , West To The Banff National Park Boundry, North To Elk River Road And East To Struble Lake.There Are Two Types Of Trails In The Rmh District. The First Type Has Clay Sub-Grade And Running Surface And Is The Most Common Types Of The Trail In The Rocky Mountain House District.The Second Type Of Trail Is The Rail Trail And It Is A Multiuse Trail With A Clay Subgrade And An Aggregate Running Surface. The Rail Trail Runs East From Nordegg Industrial Area To The West Side Of Chambers Creek. For This Contract, The Rail Trail Requires Maintenance From The Nordegg Industrial Area Up To The Junction Of The Rail Trail And The Baker Road.There Are Approximately 517Kms Of Motorized Trails, 157 Culverts, 16 Bridges, 17 Staging Areas, And 6 Rustic Camping Areas With Roads, And Other Roads To Be Maintained In The Rocky Mountain House District Area Of Operations.General Trail Maintenance May Involve Using Hand Tools, Power Saws And Small Equipment And Depending On The Task, Larger Pieces Of Equipment To Maintain The Trail And Associated Infrastructure. There May Be Some Areas That Require Reclamation Work As Directed By The Contract Manager.Refer To The Rfp Document For Additional Information And Complete Scope Of Work.
