The Purpose Of This Project Is To Invite Qualified Architectural Firms To Submit Qualifications For Prime Consultant Services For The Centennial Centre Field House Addition Project.Background The Bonnyville And District Centennial Centre Is Jointly Owned By The Town Of Bonnyville And The M.D. Of Bonnyville No. 87. The Facility Includes Two Ice Arenas, A Leisure Pond, A Field House, A Gymnasium, Office Space, A Daycare, And Additional Rooms Available For Rentals. The Field House Is Used By Sports Groups And For Large Events, Creating High Demand That Has Resulted In Limited Space And Added Pressure On User Groups Throughout The Bonnyville And District Area. To Address This Need, The Bonnyville And District Centennial Centre Is Exploring The Addition Of A New Field House To The Existing Field House At The C2.The Proposed New Field House Will Be An Approximately 40,000-Square-Foot Steel Structure With A Ceiling Height Of About 45-50 Feet. It Will Connect To The Existing Heating, Cooling, And Hvac Systems, With Any Additional Work And Equipment Required To Complement The Current Systems. Washrooms And Change Rooms Will Be Designed And Constructed To Support Large Events In The Existing Field House And Team Events In The New Field House.The Plans Also Include A 200-Metre, Four-Lane Running Track And Three Or Four Dedicated Pickleball Courts In A Designated Area. Curtains Will Enclose The Court Area Without Interfering With The Track. The Space Should Be Flexible Enough To Divide Into Four Separate Areas, Split In Half, Or Operate As One Large Open Area. Entrance And Exit Points, Spectator Areas, Clear Sightlines, Parking, And Access Road Improvements Must Also Be Identified To Support Safe And Efficient Traffic Flow.
