Road Salt Should Meet The Following Technical Requirements: 1) Grain Size: A) Number Of Grains > 8.0 Mm: 0%, B) Number Of Grains > 6.0 Mm: Max 8% + 2% (6% - 10%), C) Number Of Grains < 1.0 Mm: Max 40% - 60%, D) Number Of Grains > 0.2 Mm: Max 5%, 2) Nacl Content - Min. 90%, 3) Water Content – Max. 3.0%,4) Potassium Ferrocyanide Content – ​​Min. 10 Mg/Kg – Max. 100 Mg/Kg,5) Content Of Water-Insoluble Parts – Max. 8.0%. Road Salt Should Have: A) An Opinion Of The Road And Bridge Research Institute On The Suitability Of Salt For Sprinkling Road Surfaces In Winter Road Maintenance (Including Annexes) Or An Equivalent Certificate Issued By Entities Based In Another Member State Of The European Economic Area, B) A Hygienic Certificate Issued By The National Institute Of Hygiene Stating That The Road Salt Meets The Hygienic Requirements Or An Equivalent Certificate Issued By Entities Based In Another Member State Of The European Economic Area, C) Material Safety Data Sheet. (Documents Prepared In A Foreign Language Must Be Translated Into Polish) The Ordering Party Reserves The Right To Inspect A Selected Batch Of Salt In Order To Check Their Quality In Relation To The Above. Requirements, In A Specialized Laboratory At The Contractors Expense. If Poor Quality Road Salt Is Found, The Ordering Party Will Have The Right To Request Replacement With Material Consistent With The Description Of The Subject Of The Order.
