Jul 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Law & Legal Affairs, Training & Capacity Building Remuneration range: 2000 to 3000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 2 months Context & Background Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon. Through the Agrytech & Clyntech Accelerator Program, startups receive support to develop their Minimum Viable Product, test it with early adopters, and build their capacity to establish their business from marketing, financial, management, and operational levels. The Program aims to contribute to job creation and sustainable economic development while advancing the Lebanese entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Agrytech & Clyntech Accelerator Programs mission is to nurture and grow proof of concepts and prototypes that share three common characteristics: An innovation with a scientific or technological focus in the Agrifood and Clyntech sectors. The possibility to scale beyond the local market. The potential to create sustainable job opportunities locally. Scope of work The Agrytech & Clyntech Accelerator Program seeks a Legal Expert to equip startup founders with the legal foundations required to structure their businesses, protect their interests, and operate with confidence. This is to be achieved through a workshop and up to 2 one-on-one sessions for up to 14 startups, based on their needs. The workshop will cover the following: Co-Founder Agreement Understanding the purpose and importance of a co-founder agreement at the early stage. Identifying key clauses: roles, equity split, vesting schedules, and exit provisions. Reviewing common pitfalls and how to avoid them. Startup Legal Registration Understanding the process of legal registration in Lebanon and relevant international structures. Identifying the types of legal entities available and the criteria for selecting the right structure. Evaluating the implications of each entity type for ownership, liability, and future investment. The Legal Expert will also ensure that the concepts covered during the workshop are applied and tested during the one-on-one sessions with each startup. Following the first session, the expert will assess whether a second session is needed and provide a recommendation to the program team. This will be coordinated and agreed upon with the program team. Deliverables Workshop outline and materials. Training delivery (1 half-day workshop). Conduct up to 2 one-on-one sessions for up to 14 startups (total of up to 28 one-on-one sessions). Co-founder agreement template. Signed co-founder agreement for each startup (total of up to 14 agreements). A report summarizing the outcomes, feedback, and recommendations for each startup. Qualifications Corporate lawyer with at least 8 years of practical experience. Strong knowledge of Lebanese corporate law, legal entity structures, and contract law. Experience working with early-stage startups on legal structuring, co-founder agreements, and registration. Familiarity with startup legal frameworks in the Agrifood and/or Clyntech sectors is a strong advantage. Ability to effectively prepare and deliver training to non-legal audiences. Strong communication and facilitation skills. Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
