Goal and Objectives of Assignment Search for Common Ground is seeking to establish a Long-Term Agreement (LTA) with qualified individual translators, sworn translators, translation offices, or translation agencies in Lebanon to provide professional written translation services for organizational, programmatic, legal, and administrative documents. The selected service provider(s) will support Searchs activities by providing accurate and timely translations between Arabic and English, as well as sworn/certified translations when required. 2. Geographic Location Lebanon Services may be provided remotely or through the providers office, depending on the nature of the assignment. 3. Ethical Considerations The contracted party shall ensure that all services are delivered professionally, accurately, and confidentially. The selected provider will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and maintain strict confidentiality regarding all documents, information, and materials received from Search for Common Ground throughout the duration of the agreement. The provider shall ensure impartiality, professionalism, and compliance with applicable Lebanese laws and regulations governing sworn translations. 4. Timeline The Long-Term Agreement will be valid from July 2026 until July 2027. The agreement does not guarantee a minimum volume of work. Assignments will be requested based on operational needs. 5. Scope of Services The selected provider may be requested to provide one or more of the following services: Translation Services Translation of reports, assessments, studies, training materials, presentations, communication products, contracts, policies, and other project-related documents. Translation from Arabic to English. Translation from English to Arabic. Translation of administrative and operational documents. Editing and proofreading of translated documents. Sworn Translation Services Certified/sworn translation of official documents. Translation of legal documents, contracts, agreements, certificates, powers of attorney, court documents, and other official records. Provision of official stamps, signatures, and certifications where required by Lebanese authorities. How to apply 6. Required Qualifications Applicants should demonstrate: Excellent written command of Arabic and English. Proven experience in professional translation services. Previous experience working with INGOs, UN agencies, donors, or international organizations is preferred. Familiarity with terminology related to peacebuilding, human rights, governance, gender equality, youth engagement, and development programming. For sworn translation services, valid accreditation or authorization to provide sworn/certified translations in Lebanon. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics. 7. Financial Proposal Requirements Applicants are requested to provide a financial proposal including: Translation Services Rate per page for Arabic-to-English translation. Rate per page for English-to-Arabic translation. Rate per word (if applicable). Editing and proofreading rates. Sworn Translation Services Rate per page for sworn/certified translations. Any applicable certification, notarization, or legalization fees. Prices should preferably be quoted in USD and be inclusive of all applicable taxes and fees.
