Jul 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Conflict Resolution Search seeking to hire an interpreter, individual or company , to ensure first an effective and efficient communication in both Arabic and English verbally in all international meetings and visit in Syria & Lebanon. Role and Responsibilities Attend search training and workshop sessions based on Search needs and requirements in person or online, based on requirement. Grasp ideas spoken and heard only once, then convey them in a second language instantly, accurately and completely, adhering to the style and intent of the speaker either verbally or written. Maintain confidentiality regarding any information learned during the sessions. The interpreter will be asked to sign a confidentiality contract. Can generally capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in speeches. Translators must adhere to terms and means of expression specific to subject field (s). Able to translate technical terms that are related to peacebuilding, gender, human rights and conflict Previous Online professional Interpreting preferred. ; Demonstrated, exceptional communication skills to include conveying necessary information accurately and listening effectively. Ability to work successfully with others of diverse cultures and perspectives to achieve a common purpose. Required Profile Minimum required Profile Excellent knowledge on the MENA context, and particularly on topics related to human rights, VAWG, gender equality, diversity and inclusion, youth engagement,peace building etc.; Experience in working with INGOs and Excellent communication skills and high flexibility. The consultant shall submit: CV; Financial proposal detailing : -Hourly rate per interpreter -Rate for half day per interpreter -Rate for full day per interpreter -Interpretation equipment provision including booth , sound system , camera , connectivity , headsets,for in person meetings for a number of attendees between 10 and 50 . At least three reference letters.
