This Assignment Concerns The Collection, Storage And Burial Or Cremation Of Remains, Including Civil Or Religious Ceremonies, For Deceased Persons For Which The City/Ocmw Ostend Is Responsible. The Assignment Applies To: - Persons Who Are Registered In The Population Registers Of The City Of Ostend, And Who Do Not Have Sufficient Financial Resources To Pay For A Funeral, And/Or Whose Surviving Relatives Are Financially Unable To Organize The Funeral. - Persons Without Domicile In Belgium, Who Died In The Territory Of The City Of Ostend And For Whom No Family Members Or Other Persons Act To Organize Or Finance The Funeral. The Assignment Must Provide Maximum Relief For The City Of Ostend. Unburdening Includes, Among Other Things: - The Transport Of The Deceased In The Context Of The Above Assignment - Good Service And Transparent Communication Between The Contractor And City Services - Using An All-In Price Structure That Is Clear And Predictable. The City Of Ostend Is Looking For A Contractor Who Is Actively Present On The Territory Of Ostend And Who Provides One Permanent Spoc, Who: - Is Available 24/7 - Is Responsible For The Coordination Of Transport, Custody And Ceremonies - Is Responsible For Communication With Relatives - Takes Care Of All Administrative Follow-Up The Contractor Undertakes To Strictly Apply The Flemish Regulations Regarding Funerals And Cemeteries, Including The Provisions Regarding Transport, Custody, Burial And Cremation During The Entire Term Of The Assignment And Takes Into Account All Future Changes, Additions Or Interpretations Of Legislation That Are Relevant To The Performance Of Funeral Services On Behalf Of Ocmw Oostende.
