Environmental Planning – Feasibility Study: Improving Framework Conditions For Protecting World Heritage From The Consequences Of Climate Change. The Project Serves To Support The Bmukn Within The Scope Of Its Responsibility As The Lead Coordinating Body For The German Adaptation Strategy To The Consequences Of Climate Change (Das). It Refers To The Goals, Sub-Goals And Measures Decided By The Federal Cabinet In 2024 For The “Protection Of World Heritage” Area Of Action In The Climate Adaptation Strategy. In Order For The Departments To Proceed In A Coordinated Manner, The Current Status And Progress In Achieving The Goals Must Now Be Determined Following The Cabinet Decision In 2024. There Is Still No Cross-Departmental Overall Picture Of The Risks Posed By World Heritage Sites In Germany That Bundles And Assesses The Need For Action In Climate Adaptation. In A First Step, This Status Must Be Collected On The Basis Of Publicly Available Sources (Desktop Research) (Work Package 1). Institutional Proposals, Such As Setting Up A Coordination Office Or Networking, Must Be Assessed For Feasibility And Possible Connections (Work Package 3). Procedures And Standards For Risk Assessment And Prioritization Of Measures For The Area Of Action Of World Heritage Sites Must Be Developed (Work Package 4). To Ensure The Quality Of The Statements, Consultations With Experts Must Be Carried Out (Work Packages 2 And 5). Finally, The Key Results Must Be Bundled Into Recommendations For Decision-Makers At The Federal And State Levels. The Research Needs Must Also Be Determined And Research Questions That Contribute To Achieving The Goals Must Be Prioritized (Work Package 6). The Aim Of The Project Is To Develop A Transparent And Well-Founded Decision-Making Basis For The Responsible Authorities. The Basis For The Decision Should Support A Concerted Approach, Pre-Structure Targeted Collaborations And Prepare For Efficient Communication. On This Basis, The Evaluation Of The Achievement Of Targets And The Need For Control In The Climate Adaptation Strategy 2028 Should Take Place. The Estimated Total Effort For The 6 Work Packages Amounts To Approximately 250 Person-Days: - Work Package 1: 60 Person-Days - Work Package 2: 30 Person-Days - Work Package 3: 20 Person-Days - Work Package 4: 60 Person-Days - Work Package 5: 40 Person-Days - Work Package 6: 40 Person-Days The Number Of Personnel Is Estimated As Follows: Project Management: 75 Person-Days, Scientific Collaboration: 128 Person-Days, Assistance: 47 Person-Days
