Overland Watermain Replacement - Phase 2 - Rfp 26-0012 . Phase 2 Of The City Of Prince Rupert Overland Watermain Replacement Project Involves The Installation Of A New Watermain System, Extending From The Existing Phase 1 Infrastructure To The Future Fern Passage Underwater Crossing By Others. The Work Consists Of The Installation Of Approximately 400M Of 762 Mm Diameter Dr11 Hdpe Watermain Along A Steep And Variable Terrain. The Project Includes A Number Of Components Required To Support The Watermain System, Including Tie-In To The Recently Constructed Phase 1 Watermain And Installation Of A Valve Chamber And Discharge Headwall And Energy Dissipation Structure At The Shoreline. Additional Works Include The Installation Of Cross-Drainage Culverts At Identified Watercourse Crossings And Select Demolition Of Existing Infrastructure, Including Portions Of An Existing Steel Watermain And Associated Thrust Blocks, Will Also Be Required. Construction Activities Will Include, And Not Limited To, Clearing And Grubbing, Excavation And Trenching, Drilling And Blasting, Pipe Installation, Culvert Installation, And Placement Of Both Structural And Nonstructural Fill, Including Areas Requiring Shot Rock Support. The Alignment Traverses A Forested Terrain With Slopes Up To 60 Percent And Includes Areas In Close Proximity To The Marine And Intertidal Environment, With An Anticipated Disturbance Footprint Near The Shoreline. A Mandatory Site Meetingto Review The Proposed Works And Location Of Tender Will Be Held On July 7Th, 2026, At 1:00Pm Pst, At The Seal Cove Waterdrome, Prince Rupert.
