Bids Are Invited For Kettle Valley Rail Trail Deactivation - Otter Valley To Brodie Siding

The Province Is Seeking A Prime Contractor To Complete Permanent Decommissioning Of Portions Of The Kettle Valley Rail Trail (Kvrt) Between Frembd Lake In The Otter Valley And Brodie Siding. The Work Includes Removal Of Structures (Bridges, Culverts, Appurtenances), Trail Prism Regrading, Restoration Of Natural Drainage Patterns, Access Construction, And Site Rehabilitation.Works Will Be Completed Under Direction Of Qualified Professionals And In Accordance With Environmental Management Plans, Site-Specific Prescriptions, And Design Documents. Refer To Schedule C For Detailed Project Specifications And Provisions.This Contract Includes The Option For Up To Two (2) Additional One-Year Renewal Terms.A Minimum Amount Of Work For Year 1 Is Planned From Ld Creek Road (177+950M) To Pot At (181+600M). Additional Work May Be Assigned In Year 1 Pending Approvals And Seasonal Conditions. Subsequent Year’S Work Will Be Assigned And Amended Into The Contract At The Time Of Renewal.The Bidder Must Fill Out The Electronic Pricing Table To Establish A Bid Price. This Contract Allows The Contractor To Provide Additional Equipment And Attachment Rates They Have Access To Or Think Will Beneficially Serve The Project. The Contractor Does Not Need To Submit The Additional Equipment And Attachments List At The Time Of Their Bid Submission.
