Project: Tender21897 - Hearst And Kapuskasing Road Brushing . Request For Bids For The Provision Of Brushing Services To Support The Maintenance Of Priority Roads Within The Hearst And Kapuskasing Areas For The Ministry Of Natural Resources. The Work Includes Roadside Brushing On Both Sides Of Approximately 85 Kilometres Of Forest Access Roads To Improve Sightlines And Enhance Road Safety For Public And Operational Users. The Successful Contractor Will Provide All Labour, Equipment, And Supervision Required To Complete The Work In Accordance With Contract Specifications And Environmental Requirements. These Services Are Required To Maintain Safe Travel Conditions And Support Continued Access Throughout The Hearst And Gordon Cosens Forests. Scope Of Work The Ministry Requires Brushing Services Along Approximately 85 Kilometres Of Forest Access Roads Within The Hearst And Gordon Cosens Forests, Including The Abbott, Csr4 Griffin, Barker, Crs8 Brunswick, Missinaibi Access, Hearst River Access, Passe Val Cote, And Pivabiska River Access Roads. The Work Involves Cutting Vegetation On Both Sides Of The Roadway To Improve Sightlines, Clear Encroaching Brush, And Maintain Safe Vehicle Passage. Brushing Must Be Completed Using Appropriate Equipment To Cut, Not Flatten, Vegetation; Debris Must Be Cleared Daily; And Brushed Material Must Not Obstruct Waterways, Drainage Paths, Or Culverts. Large Debris Posing Safety Risks Must Be Removed Promptly, And Traffic Signage Must Be Used Where Required. The Work Must Be Completed By November 30, 2025.
