Work Detail
Joinery Work – Expansion Of The Gruérien Museum And The Bulle Library / Cfc 273-282-283 Overall Carpentry Work. The Project To Expand The Gruérien Museum And The Bulle Library Was The Subject Of An Architectural Competition Organized By The City Of Bulle For Which The Consortium Sergison Bates Architekten & Jaccaud + Associés Was Selected As The Winner At The End Of 2019. Located On The Outskirts Of The Medieval Castle And Rue Victor Tissot, The Site Has A Major Heritage, But Also Social And Cultural Importance For The City Of Bulle And The Gruyère Region. The Current Building, Inaugurated In 1978, Consists Of A Ground Floor And Two Basement Levels. The Intervention Mainly Concerns The Library On The Ground Floor, Which Will Be Enlarged And Reconfigured In Order To Allow Better Functioning Of The Various Activities On The Site And To Respond To A Growing Public. The Two Basement Levels, Mainly Housing The Gruérien Museum And The Reserves, Remain Practically Unchanged. Both Unitary In Its Expression, But Also Divided By Its Suburban Language, The Building Is Linked To Its Context, Blurring The Reading Of A Precise Border. The Skylights On The Roof As Well As The Notches In The Volume Bring Natural Light Deep Into The Building And Provide Openings Onto The Surroundings Of The Site. The Low Volume Of The Project Underlines The Presence Of The Castle As A Major And Dominant Element Of The Composition. The Materiality Of The Envelope Recalls That Of The Original Building, Operating A Subtle Shift Between The Memory Of The Existing Place And Its Reconfiguration. The Intervention Broadly Includes: - The Partial Demolition Of The Existing Building - The Conservation Of The Annex Built In 2002 Which Will Receive A New Envelope - The Partial Conservation Of The Existing Concrete Supporting Structure And The Existing Roof - The Integration Of A New Staircase, A New Freight Elevator And A New Elevator Which Complete The Vertical Circulation - The Addition Of A New Exterior Emergency Exit Staircase And The Compliance With Fire Safety Requirements - The Expansion To The The Ground Floor Extends To The North And East On The Extent Of The Current Buried Levels. The New Roofs And Facade Walls Are Made Entirely Of Wooden Construction. The Load Drops Are Managed On The Facade And Are Transmitted To The Peripheral Walls Of The Basement. - A New Energy Concept With The Upgrading Of Ventilation/Air Conditioning Installations And Connection To The Cad. This Call For Tenders Is Divided Into 3 Lots: * Lot N°1: Wooden False Ceilings * Lot N°2: Wooden Doors / Wooden Linings / Wooden Partitions / Wooden Plinths / Standard Carpentry * Lot N°3: Standard Wooden Doors
