Project: Tender21510 - Snowshoe Rapids Dam Mud Slab Removal And Replacement . Detailed Description Request For Bids (Rfb) For The Provision Of Construction Service For The Ontario Ministry Of Natural Resources For The Replacement Of The Concrete Mud Slab With Rip Rap At The Snowshoe Rapids Dam, Approximately 33 Km South East Of Red Lake, Ontario. Scope Of Work The Contractor Shall Remove The Failed Existing Concrete Mud Slab And Replace It With Geotextile And Rip Rap Downstream Of The Snowshoe Rapids Dam. The Contractor Shall Conduct The Following Work: (I) Remove The Existing Concrete Mud Slab And Dispose Of Such Materials To An Appropriate Landfill Site. (Ii) Excavate And Prepare The Foundation For The Replacement Mud Slab “In The Dry”, Utilising A Cofferdam And Dewatering System. (Iii) Supply And Place Geotextile And New Rip Rap. (Iv) Restore The Site Following Completion Of The Work Including Removal Of Equipment Access Road To Downstream Area, Erosion-Proofing Of Banks And Stabilization Of All Soils Exposed During Construction. Work Is Anticipated To Commence On July 15, 2026 And Be Completed September 30, 2026. Mandatory Site Meeting: June 24, 2026 At 11:00 (Toronto Time). The Mandatory Meeting Will Be Held At The Snowshoe Rapids Dam Site, Meeting Location Is The Snowshoe Rapids Dam (Utm 463523 E 5639503 N). Access To The Dam Is From Snowshoe Portage Road (East Of Highway 105). Please Dress According To Conditions And Wear Appropriate Ppe.
