Bids Are Invited For Transponder Landing System (Tls)

Transponder Landing System (Tls) . The Department Of National Defence (Dnd) Has A Requirement For The Supply Of One (1) Deployable Precision Approach System To Support Royal Canadian Air Force (Rcaf) Domestic And Expeditionary Operations At 8 Wing Trenton. The System Must Provide Category I Instrument Landing System (Ils) Equivalent Precision Approach Guidance Or Better To Multiple Aircraft Types Without Requiring Aircraft Modification. The Capability Must Be Rapidly Deployable, Mobile, All Weather, And Suitable For Sustained Operation In Austere And Arctic And Or Desert Environments. This Requirement Addresses An Urgent Operational Gap Caused By The Temporary Unavailability Of Fixed Precision Approach Infrastructure At 8 Wing Trenton And Aims To Support Ongoing North American Aerospace Defence (Norad), Search And Rescue (Sar), Air Mobility, And Agile Combat Employment (Ace) Operations.
