Each Lifeguard Performing Services Must: A) Be At Least 18 Years Old; B) Speak Polish Fluently; C) Have Valid Water Rescue Qualifications Granted By An Authorized Entity In Accordance With The Act Of August 18, 2011. On The Safety Of Persons Staying In Water Areas (Journal Of Laws 2023.714, Consolidated Text) And Implementing Acts To This Act; D) Have A Valid Certificate Of Compliance With The Requirements Of Article 13 Pursuant To The Act Of 8 September 2006 On State Emergency Medical Services (Journal Of Laws 2026.141, Consolidated Text); E) Have Current Medical Examinations Confirming The Ability To Perform Work As A Lifeguard Water Rescue;F) Have At Least 6 Months Of Professional Experience In Performing Water Rescue;G) Meet The Requirements Specified In Art. 21 Section 2-8 Of The Act Of May 13, 2016 On Counteracting Threats Of Sexual Crime And Protection Of Minors (Consolidated Text: Journal Of Laws Of 2026, Item 110, As Amended).2. The Duties Of Rescuers Include, In Particular, Performing Rescue Operations Referred To In Art. 13 And Art. 16 Of The Act Of 18 August 2011. On The Safety Of Persons Staying In Water Areas (Journal Of Laws 2023.714, Consolidated Text) And Activities Performed As Part Of Qualified First Aid Referred To In Article 14 Of The Act Of September 8, 2006 On State Emergency Medical Services (I.E. Journal Of Laws 2026.141), I.E.: A) Accepting A Report About An Accident Or Threat, B) Reaching The Site Of The Accident With Appropriate Rescue Equipment, C) Providing Qualified First Aid, D) Securing The Place Of The Accident Or Threat, E) Evacuating People From A Place Posing A Threat To Life Or Health, F) Transporting People Who Have Suffered An Accident Or Are Exposed To The Risk Of Loss Of Life Or Health In The Water Area To A Place Where It Is Possible To Undertake Medical Rescue Operations By Units Of The State Emergency Medical Services System Referred To In Art. 32 Section 1 Of The Act Of September 8, 2006 On State Emergency Medical Services, After Prior Agreement On The Place Of Transfer With The Administrator Of The State Medical Rescue System Unit, G) Constant Monitoring Of The Designated Water Area And Swimming Pool Beaches, Immediate Response To Each Signal For Help And Undertaking Rescue Operations, Preventing The Effects Of Threats, H) Review Of The Condition Of Devices And Equipment Used For Water Rescue, I) Ongoing Monitoring Of The Condition Of Devices And Equipment That Provide Safety Of People Swimming, Bathing Or Practicing Sports Or Recreation,J) Signaling By Voice Or Using Alarm Devices, Violations Of Swimming Pool Regulations, Violations Of The Rules For Using The Designated Water Area, In Particular The Border Of The Zone For Those Who Can Swim,K) Reacting To Cases Of Violation Of The Rules For Using The Designated Wate
