Jun 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Development, Training & Capacity Building Remuneration range: < 1000 (USD) Its primary outcome is to increase the individual and collective capacities and participation of Youth-Led Civil Society Organizations and Groups in conflict prevention and resolutions initiatives to foster inter and intra-communal peace in Greater Beirut and Tripoli, Lebanon. In line with the projects objective to enhance the effectiveness, sustainability, and overall impact of local CSOs, Jafra and Mada Association aim to focus on strengthening the institutional frameworks and technical competencies of local CSOs operating in Lebanon. The aim of the mission is to deliver comprehensive, pre-developed training sessions, aimed at strengthening the institutional capacities of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). The training will focus on two key areas: Organizational Strategy and Direction Supporting CSOs in developing clear strategic goals, establishing a shared vision, and enhancing their ability to plan and adapt in a dynamic operating environment. Organizational Management Building the internal management competencies of CSOs, including leadership, governance, operational planning, and resource management, to ensure effective and sustainable organizational performance. The training will be conducted over four training days. Each training day will consist of 6 hours. The program is scheduled to begin during Jun in (Beirut/Tripoli). Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Meet with Jafra and Mada teams to discuss the missions objectives and expectations. Deliver the 4 training days to assigned groups (training day up to 6 hours) including the tasks mainly below: Facilitating participatory exercises and group work to support CSOs in working on: their vision, mission, and strategic goals. Applying tools such as SWOT, and other relevant frameworks for strategic analysis and planning. Developing interactive session on: organizational leadership, governance structures, operational planning, and resource management, strengthening governance systems and clarifying roles and responsibilities within their organizational structure. Providing tailored guidance and practical tools on: Annual work planning, budgeting, fundraising strategies, donor compliance, and human resource management. Internal decision-making processes, communication flows, and leadership development. Encourage peer-to-peer learning and collaborative problem-solving among CSO participants to foster long-term capacity retention. Conduct coaching sessions (group-based) to support the practical application of concepts learned during the training. Customize training content and materials to be contextually relevant and aligned with the local operating environment, and legal frameworks. Monitor engagement and progress of participants throughout the training using pre- and post-training assessments and participatory feedback tools. Document outcomes, key learnings, and areas for further support, and submit a final training report including recommendations for future capacity building. The language used in the training sessions must be simple, clear and culturally relevant, avoiding technical and complex content, to ensure it is easily understandable by CSO members. The report should contain narrative summary on the trainings conducted, pre and post comparison, expected and achieved results, recommendations Requirements and Qualifications: To meet the educational requirement, candidates must hold one of the following qualifications: A Bachelors degree in Business Management, Public Administration, or a related field, PLUS a Masters degree or a Training of Trainers (ToT) certification. A Masters degree in Business Management, Public Administration, NGO Management, or a related field. Proven experience in designing and delivering training sessions on organizational strategy, governance, and institutional capacity-building, preferably within the civil society or nonprofit sector. Strong understanding of CSO structures, strategic planning processes, organizational development tools, and management frameworks. Previous experience working with nonprofits, grassroots organizations, or development-oriented CSOs, particularly in capacity-strengthening or organizational change initiatives. Excellent facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups of participants and adapt content to different levels of organizational maturity. Demonstrated experience in participatory methodologies, adult learning principles, and interactive training approaches. Fluency in Arabic and English is required. Familiarity with the local civil society landscape and contextual challenges facing CSOs is highly desirable. Eligible Applicants: The selection process will consist of two steps: a pre-selection based on technical experience and qualifications, followed by in-person or online interviews with the shortlisted candidates.
