Request For Proposal External Audit Services

This Request For Proposals (Otherwise Referred To As “Rfp”) Is An Invitation By Lamontcounty (Otherwise Referred To As The “County”) To Qualified Accounting Firms (Otherwisereferred To As The “Bidders”) To Submit Proposals For External Audit Services, As Furtherdescribed In The Scope Of Services In This Rfp.The County Is Seeking Professional Auditing Services From Qualified Bidders To Provide:1. The Annual Audit Is To Be Performed In Accordance With Generally Acceptedaccounting Principles For Municipal Government Established By The Publicsector Accounting Board Of The Canadian Institute Of Chartered Accounts;And2. Reporting Requirements As Set Out By The Province Of Alberta In Themunicipal Government Act And Its Regulations.The Responsibilities Of The Auditors Will Be To Provide An Expression Of An Opinion On Theexternal Financial Statements (No Consolidated), Alberta Municipal Affairs Informationand Discussion With Respect To Presentation And Disclosure.Assurance And Advisory Services, In Addition To The Annual Audit, May Be Required On Asneeded Basis. Past Requests Have Included Advice On Accounting Treatments, Review Ofthe Financial Implication Of Agreements, Comments On Accounting Policies, Reviews Ofgrant Reports And Advice On Gst.You Are Invited To Submit On A Separate Proposal Form For Any Services, Other Thanthose Requested, That May Be Of Interest To The County. These Extra Services Should Beseparately Identified With The Cost For Each Service Provided.
