Request for proposals for Trainer for Cs and Dnh Trainings for Csos Closing Date: Wednesday, 17. Jun 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Peace & Security About the Project International Alert Lebanon, in partnership with UNDP Lebanon, is implementing a Conflict Sensitivity (CS ) and (DNH) training initiative to support organizations working under the Lebanon Response Plan and the wider emergency response in Lebanon. The project aims to strengthen the ability of local CSOs and response actors to design and implement their work in a conflict-sensitive way, reduce unintended harm, and contribute positively to social stability. As part of this project, International Alert will deliver organizational CS and DNH trainings for local CSOs. International Alert is seeking a Trainer to support the preparation and delivery of five two-day trainings for selected CSOs. Objective and Scope of work The Trainer will support International Alert in preparing and delivering five practical and participatory CS and DNH trainings for CSOs. The assignment includes reviewing the needs assessment results, working with the Alert team to update and adapt the training materials, and delivering the trainings in Arabic. Key Responsibilities: Review and analyze the needs assessment responses of each participating CSO with Alert team . Identify key learning needs, CS gaps, operational challenges, and relevant examples from the needs assessment. Support the Alert team in adapting the training agenda, exercises, case studies, and tools based on each organizations context and needs. Update training materials with the Alert team to ensure they are practical, relevant, and linked to the current emergency response context in Lebanon. Deliver five two-day CS and DNH trainings for CSOs. Facilitate interactive sessions, group work, discussions, and practical exercises. Support participants to apply CS and DNH concepts to their daily work, programmes, communication, targeting, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring. Help participants identify conflict risks, unintended negative impacts, mitigation measures, and opportunities to strengthen social stability. Support the administration and discussion of pre- and post-training assessments, where needed. Participate in debriefs after each training and provide short reflections and recommendations to improve future sessions. Provide inputs to training reports, including key observations, participant learning, challenges, and recommendations. Contract duration and level of effort The trainings will take place between June and July 2026. The final schedule will be confirmed upon contracting the Trainer.The assignment is expected to require a maximum of 15 working days, covering preparation, material adaptation, training delivery, and reporting inputs. 5 two-day organizational CS and DNH trainings for selected CSOs, delivered in Arabic, in person and/or online maximum 15 working days. This includes: 5 preparation days to review needs assessment findings, coordinate with International Alerts team, and adapt training materials. 10 training delivery days for five two-day trainings. Deliverables The Trainer will deliver: Short analysis of the needs assessment responses for each CSO, highlighting learning needs, practical challenges, and examples to integrate into the training. Updated training plans and materials, prepared with International Alerts team and adapted to each CSO. Delivery of five two-day trainings in CS and Do No Harm, using practical, participatory methods. Short inputs to training reports, including key observations, participant reflections, examples from group work, and recommendations. Participation in preparation and debrief meetings with International Alerts team. Support provided by International Alert International Alert will provide the existing training package, needs assessment results, participant information where available, and relevant background documents. International Alert will also manage coordination with UNDP and CSOs, training logistics, venues or online platforms, communication with participants, and pre/post-training tools. The Trainer will be responsible for their own laptop and transportation inside Beirut, unless otherwise agreed. Payments will be based on actual days completed and approved, upon submission of an invoice. Required qualifications At least 5 years of experience in CS , Do No Harm, peacebuilding, social stability, or related fields. Strong experience delivering participatory trainings for CSOs, NGOs, UN agencies, or humanitarian and development actors. Solid knowledge of conflict analysis, conflict-sensitive programming, and DNHin humanitarian, recovery, and stabilization work. Good understanding of Lebanons context, local tensions, and CSO operating realities. Experience reviewing needs assessments and adapting training content accordingly. Strong facilitation skills, including managing group dynamics and sensitive discussions. Fluency in Arabic and working knowledge of English. Ability to deliver trainings in person and online. Commitment to safeguarding, cultural sensitivity, and data protection. Compensation Competitive price offers will be considered.
