It is also a member of INJAZ Al-Arab, a regional network of 14 countries across the MENA region. INJAZ Lebanon delivers programs in partnership with the business sector, focusing on entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy. About GIL The GIL 2026-2028 program is designed to empower youth through a structured entrepreneurial journey. From sparking initial interest in social innovation to providing full incubation for market-ready startups, the program bridges the gap between raw ideas and sustainable businesses. The project operates across multiple locations, including Tripoli, Akkar, and Bekaa. Overview INJAZ Lebanon is seeking a highly skilled Design Thinking Trainer to lead a 6-session intensive track for youth aged 1828. The trainer will guide participants through the journey of "Problem-First" thinking, moving from initial ideation to a validated business model and a low-fidelity prototype. The objective is to equip youth with the tools to solve real-world pain points through structured innovation and market validation. Scope of Work The Design Thinking Trainer shall be responsible for the following: A- Advanced Training Delivery & Mentorship Curriculum Facilitation: Execute the 6-session Design Thinking agenda, focusing on the Value Proposition Canvas (VPC) and the full 9-block Business Model Canvas (BMC). Methodological Instruction: Teach specialized techniques including "The Mom Test" for unbiased validation, Market Sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM), and the "10-slide rule" for storytelling. Prototyping Supervision: Lead the "Prototyping Lab," helping students create Low-Fidelity MVPs (paper wireframes, storyboards, or physical mock-ups). Active Feedback: Provide continuous, critical feedback during "Daily Wrap-Up" sessions to ensure each teams foundation is stable before moving to the next phase. B-Documentation Output Collection: Ensure every team completes and submits the mandatory deliverables for each session (e.g., Empathy Maps, Interview Scripts, Operational Flowcharts). Reporting: Submit a final track report summarizing team progress, the quality of the prototypes developed, and the readiness of each startup for the pitching jury. Detailed Operational Workflow & Timeline Phase 1: Pre-Training & Validation Material Readiness: Prepare all specialized templates (VPC, Empathy Maps, BMC, Stakeholder Maps). Candidate Review: Collaborate with the Outreach Officer to ensure participants have the creative capacity and commitment for a 6-session technical track. Phase 2: Execution (The 6-Session Journey) Sessions 1-2 (The Problem & The User): Facilitate the shift from "Product-First" to "Problem-First." Guide the creation of User Personas and Validation Interview Scripts. Sessions 3-4 (The Model & Operations): Help groups map the Customer Journey, define Revenue Streams, and draw Operational Flowcharts to illustrate day-to-day business logic. Session 5 (The MVP): Oversee the "Prototyping Lab." Ensure the cost structure and profit logic align with the value proposition. Session 6 (The Pitch): Conduct the "Pitching Lab," focusing on body language, visual storytelling, and handling Q&A from a mock jury. Phase 3: Final Submission & Reconciliation Deliverable Audit: Verify that each team has a 5-minute Pitch Deck and a completed BMC ready for jury submission. Financial Handover: Submit all trainer-related documentation (attendance, reports, and invoices) to the INJAZ team within 5 days of track completion. Qualifications The ideal candidate should have: Design Thinking Expertise: Deep experience in User-Centric Design, Lean Startup, and Business Model Generation. Facilitation Skills: Ability to manage "Hands-on" sessions and guide youth. Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in teaching financial logic (Profit Logic) and market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM). Mentorship Experience: Proven track record of providing constructive feedback that pivots or strengthens startup ideas. Communication: Strong storytelling skills to teach pitching and public speaking. General Requirements Coordination with the INJAZ Lebanon Project Coordinator and M&E team. Maintenance of a high standard of safety, inclusivity, and PSEA compliance. Adherence to GIL and INJAZ Lebanon branding guidelines for all presentation materials.
