Work Detail
Oxfordshire County Council Is Committed To Ensuring Representation Of All Adults, Children And Young People Victim-Survivors Of Domestic Abuse In Strategic Partnership, Commissioning And Service Delivery. This Is In Line With The Domestic Abuse Act 2021 Which Emphasises That Services Should Be Co-Produced With Victim-Survivors, Recognising That Those With Lived Experience Are Best Placed To Inform What Works And What Needs Improvement And What Support Will Make A Difference To Their Lives.Since 2022, Oxfordshire Has Commissioned A Lived Experience Advisory Group (Leag) Co-Ordinator To Develop And Lead A Group Of Adult Victim-Survivors Who Participate In The Work Of The Domestic Abuse Strategic Board And Its Subgroups. In 2024, Additional Resources Were Provided To Ensure That Children And Young People Affected By Domestic Abuse, Are Also Represented In The Work Of The Domestic Abuse Strategic Board.The Leag Involvement With The Strategic Board Is Based On The Principles In The Ladder Of Co-Production As Outlined By Think Local, Act Personal And Have Been Involved In Activities Including (But Not Limited To): •Codesign Of Local Domestic Abuse Strategies.•Consultations With Children And Young People.•Engagement In The Domestic Abuse Strategic Board And Its Subgroups And With The Wider Domestic Abuse Partnership.
