Tenders are invited for Facilitators: Implement the Measures to Support the PCTT Project Relating to Raising Awareness among the Population on (I) Environmental Protection, (Ii) Health and Safety on the Construction Site and (Iii) STI/HIV/AIDS in the Project Areas Closing Date: 14 Jun 2026 Type: Consultancy Background The International Development Company, a Research & Development organization headquartered in Quebec City, Canada, is looking for experts with the following profiles for a project in Chad. The role requires a minimum commitment of 2 years, with the possibility of a longer-term extension. Mission objectives The mission aims to implement the measures to support the PCTT project relating to raising awareness among the population on (i) environmental protection, (ii) health and safety on the construction site and (iii) STI/HIV/AIDS in the Project areas. In general, the Projects work would increase the risk of environmentally harmful behaviour (deforestation, poaching, pollution, etc.), social risks including child labour, traffic accidents and the spread of STIs following the mobilisation of a workforce from outside the project area. It is therefore essential to identify and implement appropriate actions to avoid or reduce negative impacts in the projects area of influence (ZIP). The overall objective is to mitigate the negative impacts related to the project activities on the environment and the local population. The specific objectives are: Preserve the water resources of the IPA; Supporting the implementation of the Biodiversity Management Plan Prohibit child labour at the sites of the works; Support the implementation of environmental and social management measures, including the Complaint Management Mechanism; Description of tasks The consultant must contribute in collaboration with the other members of the team to Design training modules on the different themes; Identify facilitators or Peer Educators at the community level; Organize training workshops; Establish a network of Peer Educators; Define the communication routes best suited to the reality of the project area; Raise awareness among the population on the selected themes; Train two (02) people per village on first aid in the event of traffic accidents; Organize voluntary screening testing for 3,000 men/women/youth; Raise awareness among the general public about traditional and medical practices at risk.
