Jun 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Advocacy & Awareness, Displaced Population SHEILD association is seeking to engage a professional videographer to document the experiences, challenges, resilience, and daily realities of internally displaced persons (IDPs) affected by conflict in South Lebanon. The assignment aims to produce compelling visual content that highlights the impact of conflict and the transition to life following the ceasefire. The final products will be used for advocacy, awareness raising, donor visibility, reporting, and communication purposes. Assignment Title Production of a Human-Interest Video: "A Day in the Life of an IDP Family During Conflict and Post-Ceasefire" Objective The objective of this assignment is to produce a short, impactful video and a collection of high-quality photographs that authentically portray the life of an IDP family during conflict and in the post-ceasefire period. Scope of Work The selected videographer shall be responsible for: 1. Inception and Coordination Participate in an inception meeting with the organizations communications and program staff. Review the assignment objectives, key messages, ethical considerations, and expected deliverables. Understand the concept and intended audience of the video. 2. Concept Development Collaborate with the organizations team to co-develop and refine the storyline, visual approach, and filming plan. Provide professional recommendations regarding filming techniques, interview approaches, and visual storytelling. 3. Field Filming Conduct up to two (2) days of field filming in a safe and accessible village in South Lebanon identified by the organization. Capture footage that documents: Daily life and living conditions of the selected family. Personal experiences and challenges during displacement and conflict. Recovery efforts, resilience, and adaptation following the ceasefire. Relevant environmental and community scenes that support the narrative. Conduct interviews and obtain all required visual content while adhering to safeguarding and ethical standards. 4. Editing and Post-Production Review and organize all collected footage. Edit and produce a compelling human-interest video. Incorporate subtitles in English (and Arabic if requested). Include background music, transitions, titles, and organization branding as provided. Submit drafts for review and incorporate feedback. Deliverables The selected videographer shall provide: One (1) professionally edited video Maximum duration: 1.5 minutes. High-resolution format suitable for social media, presentations, and donor communications. Final version incorporating comments from the organization. 2. Twenty (20) high-resolution photographs Professionally edited and color corrected. Delivered in JPEG format. Suitable for publications, reports, websites, and social media. 3. Raw Materials All raw video footage captured during the assignment. Original high-resolution photographs. Duration The assignment must be completed before June 30th, 2026 from contract signature, including: One inception meeting. Up to two field filming days. Editing, revisions, and final submission of deliverables. Required Qualifications The videographer should possess: Proven experience in documentary, humanitarian, development, or human-interest storytelling. Demonstrated experience producing short advocacy and awareness videos. Strong photography skills. Professional video and photography equipment. Experience working with vulnerable populations while respecting dignity, confidentiality, and safeguarding principles. Ability to work independently under tight deadlines. Ethical Considerations The videographer must: Obtain informed consent from all individuals appearing in the video or photographs. Respect privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times. Follow the organizations safeguarding, child protection, and data protection policies. Ensure that all content is captured and presented in a manner that does not expose participants to harm or risk. Ownership and Intellectual Property All footage, photographs, edited materials, and related products produced under this assignment shall become the sole property of SHEILD Association. The videographer may not reproduce, distribute, or publish any materials without prior written authorization from the organization. Payment Schedule Payment shall be made upon satisfactory completion and acceptance of all deliverables and submission of the required invoice and supporting documentation.
