Tenders Are Invited For Maasmechelen Academy: Roof Renovation

The Maasmechelen Art Academy Is Housed In The Oldest Mining Building In The Municipality, Founded In 1913. The Building Is Recognized As A Protected Monument And Is Part Of The Former Eisden Coal Mine. This Protection Was Granted On December 22, 1993 And Is Included In The Inventory Of Immovable Heritage Under Id Number 1199. Following An Inspection By The Monument Guard And In Consultation With The Immovable Heritage Agency, The Local Government Of Maasmechelen Intends To Carry Out A Number Of Necessary Renovation Works. In This Phase, These Include The Renovation And Insulation Of The Roof, Which Is Currently Finished With Asbestos-Containing Slates. In Addition, The Gutters And Rainwater Drains Will Be Repaired And/Or Replaced. Furthermore, Various Maintenance And Finishing Works Are Provided, Including Plastering, Plasterwork, Painting And The Implementation Of The Necessary Environmental Works, Including Sewerage And Greenery.
