The Project Concerns The Restoration, Renovation And Sustainability Of The Roofs And Hoods Of The Old Building Of The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam (Approximately 4,500 M²). The Project Was Prompted By Structural Leaks And Overdue Maintenance. These Defects Entail Risks For Both The Museum Collection And The Continuity Of The Museums Operation. The Assignment Includes Both The Preparation And Implementation Of The Roof Renovation. This Is An Integrated Project In Which Architectural, Constructive And Installation Work Is Carried Out In Conjunction. The Work Essentially Consists Of: • Replacing The Existing Roof Covering And Zinc Roof Parts; • Replacing Skylights And Skylights, Including Associated Structures; • Replacing The Glass Ceilings Under The Skylights; • Carrying Out Local Structural Adjustments For New Roof And Daylight Constructions; • Restoring And Returning The Characteristic Daylight System; • Taking Sustainability Measures Within The Preconditions Of The National Monument, Including Improving Insulation Values ​​And Applying Water Retention; • Replacing Air Conditioning Systems Above The Roof; • Creating Temporary And Permanent Facilities And Safety Measures That Are Necessary For Implementation Above An Operational Museum.
