Laboratory, Optical And Precision Equipments (Excl. Glasses) – A High-Throughput Dna Sequencer. Epfl Plans To Acquire A High-Throughput Dna Sequencer For Its Gene Expression Platform (Gecf / Pteg) From The Faculty Of Life Sciences (Fsv). This Equipment Will Be Operated Jointly With The Genomics Technology Facility (Gtf) Platform Of The University Of Lausanne And Will Be Dedicated To Cutting-Edge Research In Functional Genomics. Particular Interest Will Be Given To Rna Sequencing And Epigenetic Profiling At Single-Cell Or Tissue Resolution, As Well As Genome And Exome Sequencing. This Instrument Will Achieve Medium To High Flow Rates, Thus Making It Possible To Sequence Medium And Large Projects. The Optimal Target Throughput Is Therefore Approximately In The Range Of 5 To 10 Billion Sequences Per Experiment.
