Tenders are invited for Situational Assessment (SA) Consultancy for Food Security, Livelihoods, Local Food Systems and Nutrition Assessment in Indigenous Villages of Ratanakiri Province, Cambodia NTFPs Situational Assessment Consultancy SCOPE OF WORK The consultant will work closely with the NTFP assessment team and World Renew technical advisor across the following phases: 1 - Contracting (in both English and Khmer language) To sign between NTFP and Consultant Week 2 of June 2026 - Literature review or secondary data collection NTFP reports, and other relevant documents - Inception and Methodology Development and based on the Situation Assessment plan By consultant Review SA plan, existing project documents, and relevant literature, and secondary data, including NTFP project documents, project reports, food security and livelihood studies, government data, and other relevant resources. Review SA plan, existing project documents, and relevant literature Refine research framework and sentinel sampling approach Develop detailed methodology and analytical framework. The methodology should reflect the sentinel village approach and be aligned with the Assessment Plan. The consultant will be provided with the full Situational Analysis Plan to ensure that data collection planning is aligned. Week 2 of June 2026 2 - Development of information collection tools, including participatory tools, based on the Situation Assessment plan By Consultant Design and refine data collection tools, including: FGD guides (WNG, VSLA, Farmers, Cashew groups) KII guides Village profile templates Week 2 of June 2026 Ensure tools integrate gender, inclusion, and food system analysis The consultant will be provided with the full Situational Analysis Plan to ensure that data collection planning is aligned. 3 - Training on collection data Tools Training to 7 NTFP staff by Online or Face to face Conduct training for NTFP assessment team on: Data collection tools Facilitation techniques Ethical considerations and safeguarding Safeguarding and risk management plan. Support pilot testing and refinement of tools Week 2 and week3 of June 2026 4 - Conducting data collection in the field / communities Consultant and 7 NTFP staff interview stakeholder Provide technical oversight during data collection Participate in selected FGDs and KIIs (quality assurance role) Guide field teams on documentation and data quality to ensure that data collection follows the agreed methodology and tools. Week 1 and week2 of July 2026 5 - Data Analysis and submit draft report By consultant Develop qualitative data analysis framework Support coding, synthesis, and thematic analysis Identify key patterns, challenges, and opportunities across villages The report is in close support by WR MEAL coordinator Week 3 of July 2026 6 - Consultation workshop on draft report with relevant participants staff, stakeholders and representative communities Online or face to face Design and facilitate consultation workshop Support prioritization of key findings Ensure stakeholder validation of results Gather feedback and inputs for finalizing the Situation Assessment report.
