Aerial And Related Services - Implementation Of Anti-Hail Protection Activities With An Aircraft Method For Anti-Hail Effects (Seeding) Of Potentially Hail-Threatening Clouds On The Territory Of The Republic Of Bulgaria. Implementation Of Anti-Hail Protection Activities With An Aircraft Method For Anti-Hail Impacts (Seeding) Of Potentially Hail-Threatening Clouds On The Territory Of The Republic Of Bulgaria For A Period Of Time Until 31.10.2028. Zone For The Protection Of A Territory Of 10,748.13 Km 2 (1,074,812.80 Ha). The Activities To Implement Anti-Hail Protection By Aircraft Means Must Be Carried Out Over Part Of The Territory Of The Republic Of Bulgaria, With Boundaries Described In Detail In The Technical Specification And Its Appendices. Anti-Hail Protection By Aircraft Means Must Be Performed In The Presence Of Potentially Hail-Threatening Clouds, In A Mode That Ensures The Continuity Of Hail Protection, Except For The Time When The Meteorological Conditions At The Airport Do Not Correspond To Those Specified In The Poh (Pilots Operation Handbooks), As Well As Except For The Cases When Restrictions Have Been Introduced By The Relevant Airport Authorities And/Or The Services Implementing Air Traffic Management And Control. Criteria For Hail Danger: 1. Dh45dbz > 2 Km, Where Dh45dbz Is The Thickness Of The Supercooled Part Of The Area With A Reflectivity Of 45 Dbz (H45dbz – H0oс By Stratification) And A Clear Tendency For The Development And Increase Of Radar Parameters; 2. Presence Of A Closed Contour Of The 35 Dbz Region At A Height Greater Than Or Equal To The Height Of The -10Oc Isotherm For Highly Seeded Cells. Aircraft Hail Protection Activities Must Be Performed During The Active Hail Protection Season. The Active Season For The Operation Of Anti-Hail Protection Is From April 1 To October 30, And The Beginning And End Of The Active Season For Each Year Are Determined By An Order Of The Executive Director Of The Executive Agency Combating Hail According To Instruction No. 4 Of July 16, 2010 For Anti-Hail Protection In The Republic Of Bulgaria.
