Expression of Interest are invited for Data Collection Services for Childcare and Early Education Assessment in Chile Description The World Bank is seeking proposals from qualified data collection firms to carry out quantitative and qualitative primary data collection in Chile. The Survey instruments are ready and will be provided in Spanish to shortlisted firms, after this EoI stage. Instruments are standardized and have been tested in different contexts. However, the firm will be expected to conduct field testing and propose adaptations to the Chilean context. The scope of services will include, but are not limited to: Sampling and listing exercises based on census/CASEN 2024 data and administrative data to identify households and eligible providers to include in the survey. Implementation of a nationally representative demand-side household Computer Assisted Personal Interviewer (CAPI) survey, targeting a sample of 3000 to 4000 households with children aged 05. Implementation of a nationally representative supply-side CAPI survey of childcare and early education in a sample of 700 to 900 providers. Conduct up to 20 Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and up to 10 Key Informant Interviews (KIIs). Data cleaning, processing, and delivery of final datasets in Stata format Expected deliverables include: Qualitative and quantitative instruments adapted to the Chilean contexts. All changes from the initial revisions must be in track changes. Sampling and listing strategy methodology for data collection. Detailed logistics plan for data collection. Final customized training materials and fieldwork manuals. Pilot datasets, recordings and transcriptions for the FGDs, KIIs, demand-side survey, supply-side survey. For the Focus Groups Discussions (FDGs): Recordings and transcripts of the FGDs in Spanish. For the Key Informant Interviews (KII): Recordings and transcripts in Spanish. Listing of households for the demand side survey: cleaned datasets in Stata format and Stata do-files used for the sample selection and the cleaning. Listing of childcare/ early education providers: cleaned datasets in Stata format and Stata do files used for the cleaning or aggregation of different sources to create the listing of childcare providers, as well as the do files used for the sample selection. Demand side survey: cleaned datasets with sampling weights calculated in Stata format and Stata do-files used for the cleaning and weights calculation. Supply side survey: cleaned datasets with sampling weights calculated in Stata format and Stata do-files used for the cleaning and weights calculated. Basic Information Document that details the entire data collection process and highlights how the data should be used. The assignment is expected to run for approximately four months, with a start date of July 2026 and final deliverables due in October 2026.
