We Develop Programs, Services And Polices To Help Farming In Rural And Urban Communities Be More Competitive, Sustainable And Profitable. The Animal Health Laboratory (Ahl) Provides Diagnostic Testing To Support Provincial Animal Health And Welfare, Food Safety, And Public Health. Comprehensive Diagnostic Services Are Provided For A Wide Range Of Species Including Livestock, Horses, Companion Animals, And Exotic Animals. Services Are Aimed Primarily At Nova Scotia’S Agricultural Producers And Industry, But Also Assist Practicing Veterinarians, Private Companies, Other Government Agencies, Researchers, And The Public. The Ahl Requires A Laboratory Information Management System (Lims). This System Will Track Data Regarding Specimens From Ordering And Receiving, Throughout The Lab Processing Stages To Final Reports And Invoicing. This System Is Intended To Be The Digital Backbone Of The Laboratory.
