Work Detail
Geology, Oceanography And Hydrology Services - Preservation Of Evidence And Monitoring Of Soil Science, Water Management And Hydrogeological Aspects For The Steenfelde Oversilting Project: Steenfelde Water And Soil Protection Officer 10/2026 To 09/2031. In The Lower Ems And Leda, Regular Maintenance Dredging Is Necessary To Maintain The Safety And Ease Of Shipping Traffic And, In Particular, To Ensure The Required Depths For The Transfer Of Shipyard Ships. In Contrast To Other Areas, The Dredged Quantities Resulting From This Maintenance Are Not Dumped In The Vicinity Of The Dredging Sites Due To The Narrowness Of The River Channel Of The Lower Ems, But Are Primarily Transferred On The Land Side Along The Lower Ems, As Close As Possible To The Course Of The River To Land-Side Accommodation Areas (Washing Fields And Flushing Lakes). The Resulting Dredged Material Is Currently Being Transported To Flushing Fields In The Steenfelde Flushing Area. The Steenfelde Flushing Area Is Divided Into Four Construction Phases, Each With Their Own Building Permits. The Individual Construction Phases Are In Turn Divided Into Structurally Separate Washing Areas. As A Rule, There Are Two To Three Dredging Campaigns Per Year. A Campaign Lasts Around 16 Weeks For The Entire Lower Ems. The Excavators Center Of Gravity Is At Ems-Km 0-15. This Material Is Mainly Washed Into The Flushing Fields. Flushing In The Flushing Fields Is Limited To 16 Hours Per Day. In This Context, A Wide Variety Of Water, Soil, Waste Management And Hydrogeological Aspects Must Be Taken Into Account. As Part Of The Building Permit, The Client Is Required To Ensure That Sustainable Impacts On Water And Soil Are Minimized By A Water Protection Officer, Including Overarching Tasks In The Area Of Soil Protection Until They Are Transferred Back To Agricultural Use. In Addition To Construction Supervision, Preservation Of Evidence And Monitoring, Data Collection, Monitoring Of Measuring Points And Analytics As Well As Consulting And Documentation Services Must Also Be Outsourced To A Professionally Qualified Water And Soil Protection Officer. An Evidence Preservation Program Was Created And Implemented So Far And Adapted And Updated According To The Various Construction Phases.
