Bids Are Invited For Space Planning Consultant Services

This Request For Proposals (The “Rfp”) Is An Invitation By The City Of St. Albert (The “City”) To Prospective Proponents To Submit Proposals For Space Planning Consultant Services, As Further Described In Section A Of The Rfp Particulars (Appendix B) (The “Deliverables”). The City Of St. Albert (Cosa) Is Seeking Proposals From Qualified, Multi‑Disciplinary Consulting Firms With Expertise In Corporate Space Planning, Workplace Standards Development, Space Utilization Assessment, And Municipal Or Public‑Sector Environments. The Consultant Will Assess The City’S Existing Space Portfolio And Workforce Requirements, Undertake Jurisdictional Benchmarking, And Develop A Corporate Space Planning Framework And Organizational Workspace Standards To Guide Future Space Planning And Space Change Decisions Across The Organization.The Engagement Is Planning‑Focused And Will Emphasize The Development Of Guiding Principles, Decision‑Making Frameworks, And Role‑Appropriate Workspace Standards. The Work Will Include A Current State Assessment, Analysis Of People‑To‑Space Alignment, And The Development Of Tools And Guidance To Support Consistent, Equitable, And Defensible Space Planning Decisions. The Framework And Standards Are Intended To Inform Future Implementation Planning Rather Than Provide Detailed Design Or Construction‑Level Solutions.This Engagement Is Intended To Be Organization‑Wide And Corporate In Nature, Establishing A Consistent Approach To Managing And Evaluating Space Across The Full Municipal Portfolio, Rather Than Focusing On Individual Buildings Or Site‑Specific Projects In Isolation.
