The Mastenbroek-Ijssel Project Concerns The Strengthening Of The Ijsseldijk Between S-Heerenbroek And Ijsselmuiden (Part Of The Standard Section 10-3). The Route To Be Strengthened Is Located In The Province Of Overijssel And Within The Municipalities Of Kampen. The Dike Is Located In The Ijsseldelta And, In Addition To A Water Retaining Function, Also Has An Important Role For Recreation And Traffic. The Exploration Shows That 9.6 Kilometers Of The 14.6 Km Do Not Meet The Water Safety Standards. The Ijsseldijk Has Been Rejected For The Failure Mechanisms Of Height, Piping, Stability Inside The Dike And Strength Of The Grass Covering. The Exploration Started In Early 2024 And Was Completed On April 7, 2026 With The Adoption Of The Preferred Alternative (Vka). The Vka Forms The Basis For The Plan Development Phase, In Which The Dike Design And Implementation Plan Are Developed And Coordinated With The Environment. Customized Solutions Are Applied At Specific Locations To Limit Effects On Functions, Such As Homes And Protected Nature. The Market Consultation Will Take Place On Friday, May 22, 2026 From 9:00 Am To 12:00 Pm. The Meeting Will Be Physically Organized In The Ab Room Of The Drents Overijsselse Delta Water Board On The Dr. Van Deenweg 186 In Zwolle. Prior To The Meeting, Interested Parties Can Register For The Market Consultation Until May 13, 2026. After The Meeting, The Comment Period Will Continue Until June 3, During Which Parties Can Submit Their Written Responses.
