Tenders are invited for Field Investigators/Researchers - Burkina Faso Closing Date: 26 Jun 2026 Type: Consultancy Background We build a roster of investigators, field researchers, supervisors, and data collection assistants based in Burkina Faso for Third Party Monitoring (TPM), humanitarian evaluation, and development missions. This pool of experts is intended to be deployed throughout the national territory to ensure the rigorous monitoring of assistance programs. The selected profiles may be requested for various missions of primary data collection, impact assessment, supervision or field support in rural, conflict-affected or hard-to-reach areas. Key Responsibilities Conduct household surveys, key informant interviews (KII) and facilitate focus group discussions (FGD). Collect data for the verification of distributions (food, Non-Food Items - ANA, cash transfers / CVA) and assess the quality of humanitarian assistance provided by international donors. Conduct post-distribution surveys (PDM) to assess the use, relevance and impact of emergency assistance among beneficiaries. Perform physical verification missions of the delivery, receipt and final distribution of assistance to target communities. Assess beneficiary satisfaction and verify compliance with targeting and registration criteria during interventions. Use mobile data collection tools (KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, or similar). Strictly adhere to the principles of informed consent, confidentiality, safeguarding, protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), the "Do No Harm" approach and data protection. Submit reliable, clean data and detailed engagement reports in a timely manner. Desired profile Proven experience in surveys, evaluations, research, project monitoring (TPM) or humanitarian data collection. Significant experience working in the field in Burkina Faso. Good knowledge of the dynamics of rural, pastoral, agro-pastoral, internally displaced or host communities. Mastery of quantitative (households) and qualitative (KII, FGD) survey techniques. Demonstrated ability to use an Android smartphone or tablet for digital data collection. Excellent command of French (written and oral). Fluency in local languages (Mooré, Dioula, Fulfulde/Fulani, Gourmantché, etc.) is strongly desired. Location Burkina Faso: All regions.
