Areas Gfa Total: Approx. 2,182 M² Northern Building (Hot Bath And Boiler And Cold Store): Approx. 1,087 M² Middle Building (Slaughterhouse): Approx. 864 M² Southern Building (Horse Butchery): Approx. 231 M² Property Area (Part Of Area No. 1499): Approx. 5,500 M² Building Class: Building Class 3, Concert Hall In The Schlachthaus Sonderbau. The Concert Hall Is Not A Meeting Place (199 Visitors). Reason And Goal: In The South Of Fürstenfeldbruck City Center Is The Approximately 7,300 M² Area With The Distinctive And Largely Preserved Buildings Of The Former Slaughterhouse, Which Was Built Based On The Plans Of Adolf Voll In 1911. The Long-Awaited Relocation Of The Urban Building Yard Opens Up The Possibility Of Urban Reorganization In The Rural Area. For This Purpose, An Innovative Design For A Lively, Heterogeneous Area Was Sought In 2020 As Part Of An Urban Development Ideas And Implementation Competition That Combines Living Close To The Center, Cultural And Creative Industries, Gastronomy, Youth Culture And Recreation With The Sophisticated Existing Water Landscape And Historical Buildings. In Addition, A Feasibility Study Was Carried Out On The Conversion And Renovation Of The Former Slaughterhouse. Building On This, The Competition Held In 2026 Resulted In A Design For The Building Ensemble Of The Former Slaughterhouse, Which Takes The Unique Opportunity To Implement The Usage Concept In A Creative And Innovative Way, While Acknowledging The Individual Monument Of National Importance In The Existing Building, And To Create A Place Of Culture, Creativity And Innovation. After Two Years Of Planning And Two Years Of Construction, The Project Is Expected To Be Completed. For The Implementation Of The Construction Project, Funding Is Being Applied For, Among Other Things, From The State Office For Monument Preservation And The Government Of Upper Bavaria (Urban Development Funding). The Renovation Of The Former Slaughterhouse And Its Open Spaces Is Part Of The Framework Plan For The New Fürstenfeldbruck Creative Quarter And Will Be One Of The First Construction Measures. The Historic Building Ensemble Will Be Supplemented By The New Construction Of A Studio/Workshop Building And A Mobility Hub (Neither Of Which Is Part Of The Current Planning Task) And Developed Into A Cultural And Creative Hub With Rooms For Creative Forms Of Work And Events.
