Construction Work For Electricity Power Lines – Cable Ploughing - Strenglögn - Vatnshamrar To Seleyri - Vesturland. The Project Comprises One Work Site; However, The Cable Installation Is Divided Into Two Sections: Firstly, A New Main Distribution Cable Installation And Secondly, A Cable Intended To Replace The Existing Overhead Line. One Pad-Mounted Substation Shall Be Installed Along The Route. The Scope Of Works Includes Installation Of: Six (6) Single-Core 1X240 Mm² 36 Kv High-Voltage Cables Over Approximately 10 Km; And Three (3) 150 Mm² 24 Kv High-Voltage Cables Over Approximately 7 Km. Accordingly, A Total Of Six To Seven (6–7) Cables Shall Be Simultaneously Ploughed And Installed In Parallel Over An Approximately 10 Km Section. The Purchaser Also Requests Installation Of Fibre Optic Ducting In Parallel With The Works. It Is Anticipated That The Works Will Commence On 10 August 2026 And Be Completed Within 10 Weeks Thereafter. The Commencement Date May Be Delayed Should The Cables Not Arrive In Iceland In Due Time. In Such Event, The Contract Period Shall Be Extended Correspondingly To Reflect The Delay.
