Expression Of Interest For Provision Of Consultancy Services For The Feasibility Study And Detailed Design Including A Water Balance Study, Survey, Design, Preparation Of Bid Documents And Assistance In Bid Evaluation For The Downstream Works Of Riviere Des Anguilles Water Treatment Plant The Government Of Mauritius Represented By The Central Water Authority Has Secured Funds From Arab Bank For Economic Development In Africa (Badea). The Authority Has Allocated The Funds To Be Used For The Acquisition Of Consultancy Services For The Feasibility Study And Detailed Design Including A Water Balance Study, Survey, Design, Preparation Of Bid Document And Assistance In Bid Evaluation For The Downstream Works Of Riviere Des Anguilles Water Treatment Plant. With The Planned Construction Of The Rivière Des Anguilles Dam In The Southern Region Of The Republic Of Mauritius, To Be Undertaken By The Water Resources Commission (Wrc), A Strategic Enhancement In The Management And Utilization Of The CountryS Water Resources Is Anticipated. This Major Infrastructure Initiative Is Designed To Optimize The Use Of Existing Water Reserves While Also Facilitating The Sustainable Harnessing Of Additional Resources From Water Courses. Through An Integrated And Forward-Looking Approach, The Project Aims To Effectively Address Both Current And Projected Water Demands Across Multiple Sectors, Including Potable Water Supply And Agricultural Irrigation. By Strengthening Storage Capacity And Improving Distribution Efficiency, The Dam Is Expected To Support Long-Term Water Security Objectives For Various Planning Horizons Extending Up To The Year 2050.
