The Bfra Is The Central Training And Further Education Center Of The Berlin Fire Department. At The New Location In The Listed Hangar Zone Of The Former Airport Between “Hangarstraße West” And “Westliche Parallelstraße”, Theoretical Studies And Practical Exercises Will Be Combined In An Interdisciplinary And Innovative Context In Various New Buildings, Existing Buildings And Training Facilities. A Gross Floor Area Of Approx. 60,000 M² Gfa Will Be Created On The Approx. 62,000 M² Construction Site. The Construction Project Is Divided Into New Buildings (Academy, Thermal Experience Facility, Vehicle Halls, Fire Training Tower), Existing Buildings With Integrated Training Facilities (Hangar N1, Hangar N2, Functional Building N1a, N2a, M) And Outdoor Facilities With Open Training Facilities (Scrap Vehicles, Chainsaw Training, Trucks, Buses, Tankers, Multifunctional Areas, Storage Areas, Cbrn) And Training Facilities That Are Underground Require Components (Subway Training Facility With Platform And Operations Center, Tram Training Facility With Platform And Overhead Line, Inclined Plane For Practicing Damage Events On Slopes, Pit Facility For Training In Civil Engineering Accidents, Pump Training Facility: Training In Pumping Operations And The Use Of Fire-Fighting Foam). An Early Measure To Dismantle The Existing Building Z3 Is Not Part Of This Measure. The Construction Project Is Carried Out In Accordance With Abau – General Instructions For The Preparation And Implementation Of Construction Tasks In Berlin.
