Architectural, Construction, Engineering And Inspection Services – Blb Aachen | Former Imperial Abbey Kornelimünster | Facade Renovation | Property Planning Building (005-26-00138). As Part Of The Iueba Investigation In Accordance With Section 3 Bauonw, The Assessment Of The Facades Of The Listed Former Imperial Abbey In Kornelimünster Was Carried Out. The Report From June 2020 Describes Various Moisture, Natural Stone, Joint And Plaster Damage On All Facades Of All Parts Of The Building As Well As The Measures Necessary To Repair The Damage. As The Owner, Blb Nrw Is Obliged To Preserve The Monument In Accordance With Section 7 Of The North Rhine-Westphalia Monument Protection Act. The Facade Renovation Will Be Carried Out In Three Construction Phases, As The Property Consists Of Three Buildings With Different Uses. In The Third Construction Phase (Buildings 02-04), The Facade Of The Main Building Will Be Renovated. The Building Consists Of 5 Components With Different Facade Types, Natural Stone, Brick And Plaster Surfaces. The Project Essentially Includes The Following Measures: The Paint On The Plastered Surfaces Must Be Completely Removed And Reapplied Because It Is Not Open To Diffusion. The Bluestone Window Reveals And Sills Show Cracks And Chips. The Historic Wooden Windows And Doors Need To Be Refurbished And Painted. The Wooden Casing Of The Gutters Needs To Be Partially Replaced. Gutters And Downpipes Must Be Repaired. The Roof Surfaces Must Be Checked And At Least Partially Repaired. The Stone Facade Needs To Be Cleaned And Partially Re-Pointed. Natural Stone Staircases Must Be Repaired. The Aforementioned Services Must Be Coordinated With The Cologne District Government And The Lvr. As A Basis For Granting The Monument Permit, A Comprehensive, Detailed Description Of The Measures Must Be Drawn Up In Advance. The Building Houses The Nrw Art Collection And Rwth Storage/Archive Areas. The Building Is Fully Rented During The Construction Period. Noise-Intensive And Safety-Relevant Work (E.G. Windows/Doors) Must Be Agreed With The User. The Remaining Construction Phases Will Be Tendered Separately.
