Tenders are invited for Lead Researcher and Associate Researcher Consultant for Citizen Journalism Study The Cambodian Center for Independent Media (CCIM) is seeking a Lead researcher and Associate researcher to conduct a research study on Citizen Journalism in Cambodia. The consultants will support CCIM to conduct a nationwide study on the role of citizen journalists, motivations of citizen journalists, the challenges they face, and their impact at community level. The study will also conduct assessment on the legal framework that regulates citizen journalism, its challenges and opportunity, while also looking at the information needs and access of information for local communities. The findings will be validated by relevant stakeholders such as citizen journalists, media actors, and civil society stakeholders through a consultative workshop at national level for recommendations and action to promote Citizen Journalism in Cambodia. The findings and inputs from the workshop will be documented and published in a report in Khmer as well as English languages for public access. Scope of Work The Lead Researcher and the Associated Researcher will be responsible for the overall technical quality and integrity of the research, including the following key tasks: Research Design and Methodology Develop and/or refine the research framework, objectives, and questionnaires Design appropriate research methodology (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods) Develop sampling strategies and justification Design research tools (e.g., questionnaires, interview guides, observation tools) Ensure ethical standards and research protocols are followed Oversight of Data Collection Provide technical guidance and supervision to two data collectors Train data collectors on research tools, ethical considerations, and data quality standards Monitor data collection processes to ensure consistency and validity Address methodological or field-level challenges as they arise Data Management, Analysis, and Interpretation Lead the data analysis process, including coding, statistical analysis, or thematic analysis as appropriate Guide data collectors in transcription and organization of collected data Review and validate initial findings prepared by data collectors Interpret findings in line with research objectives and context Reporting and Dissemination Prepare a comprehensive research report including methodology, findings, discussion, and conclusions Develop clear, evidence-based recommendations Present findings to key stakeholders as required Support the preparation of policy briefs, summaries, or presentations if requested Tender Link : https://www.bongthom.com/job_list.html?category_id=55&order_by=start_date&order_dir=desc
