To strengthen its financial governance and accountability systems, MAGU seeks to engage a reputable and qualified audit firm to provide extemal audit services. 2. Objective of the Assignment The objective is to appoint an independent external auditor to: Express an opinion on the Universitys financial statements; Enhance credibility of financial reporting: Provide recommendations for improving internal controls and financial management. 3. Scope of Work The successful firm will: Conduct annual audits for the financial years July 2026-June 2028; Audit financial statements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA); Review accounting systems and internal controls; Issue audit reports and management letters: Identify risks and recommend corrective actions; Verify compliance with applicable laws and financial regulations. 4. Duration of the Assignment The contract will be for two (2) financial years, with possible extension based on satisfactory performance. 5. Eligibility Criteria Firms must: : Be registered and licensed to practice auditing: Be in good standing with a recognized professional body (e.g., ICAM or equivalent); Have at least five (5) years experience in external auditing: Demonstrate experience with at least three similar assignments; Have qualified staff (e.g., Chartered Accountants). 6. Proposal Requirements 6.1 Technical Proposal Should include: Firm profile and organizational structure; Understanding of the assignment; Proposed methodology and work plan; Relevant experience and references; Qualifications and experience of key staff. 6.2 Financial Proposal Should include: Detailed fee structure; Breakdown of costs (professional fees, disbursements, etc.); Applicable taxes. 7. Evaluation Criteria Proposals will be evaluated based on: Technical competence and experience; Methodology and approach; Qualifications of personnel; Financial proposal. 8. Additional Information Only shortlisted firms will be contacted; MAGU reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal; Late submissions will not be considered.
